I bought this TV with the idea of connecting it to retreat into my bedroom after a while 'with a larger replacement - so I'm not on line (250Hz, LED, etc.). Although I was pleasantly surprised with the look clean, easy installation, large photo), excellent sound (for a TV and Broadband / netcast features are nice.

I have a Blu-ray, Netflix allows me to flow, if not turn on the device and to be able to stream Netflix directly to this TV is a nice feature.By using USB (or I can only assume storage NAS) can be downloaded via Ethernet devices TV / film with ease. (Playback of AVI, MPEG, MKV, etc.) and view photos and play music.

120 Hz is somewhat 'surreal, but sometimes this is true with any TV - if you look good in sports - I have some HD channels that are known to always knock out (ABC.es ..) the 120 Hz LOW Setting context of other observations are smooth once again seems to play a bit '. Although I usuallyoff. 24p Cinema Mode, where you paired with a Blu-ray playback pretty smooth. Dynamic contrast and "Eye Care" settings are good for watching movies in the dark, without the scenes that are so bright, they do blindly.

I was surprised by the quality of sound from speakers. The "invisible speakers stuff 'that advertisers TV is really nice, there are no visible speakers on the device, but it seems full. Of course, bass is heavy drop out - but that isone of the first TV I have a more comfortable listening, the sound coming directly. (Minus the monster of the old school TV projector with 10 speakers) below the screen. When I created this using an optical cable for my 5.1 surround sound - a week or 2 I have shown that I'm not crawling on the bad sound.

The price does not fall within the lower the price 42LH40 or LH30 - but with the additional features of broadband and netcast, I can not regret spending the extra money. I have the TV in the lateJanuary for $ 799 shipped.

This is my first full-screen LCD monitor - I can not say the "The Best", but for the price, features and overall quality - I feel this product is the range of similar projects - that is why I given a 5 star rating.

First new TV, first broken TV ever received - Adam Rogers - Va Beach, VA
I have my first new TV I've ever bought … My wife has the TV, the delivery people were great, and the device is switched on, my wife did not notice anything.

I went home, connected to the television and started the installation process as soon as I got the image, not a screen of snow, I noticed a number of dead pixels from top to bottom, a little 'left of center screen.
I immediately called Amazon and they gave me a different TV and it musthere in a few days.
Customer service was great) (thanks Ryan.

I connected the TV and must have noticed that television hangs or freeze cable, blue ray, and worst of all Netflix. I looked at Netflix from my computer without a hitch, but the TV locked or frozen (I was physically cycle power and restart the movie) This happened about 6 times in a period of ten minutes and I decided to let the children see Their films on your computerinstead.

I truly believe that this was the television was difficult, at some point after leaving the factory and seriously glasses, the internal components. I am confident that this TV 5 stars will be TV, if my new one. My brother has the same TV and had none of these issues.

Great stuff …
Labels on different inputs.
If they work … The widget will be great!
Networks and play my music through the TV to my surroundsound is impressive.
Power LED turns from OFF to ON by a night-rider effect of light, which is considered really nice.
Picture is amazing, no line with the current Dead Pixel
easy customization of the image
Not big things, read the first few lines, msotly think I had a TV that has done almost everything negative I said about this television, and when I again I will probably change a review to 5 stars.

Impressed! - Andrwe Hopkins-lisle - Portland, Maine
It was LG and Samsung. I am very happy that I chose this TV because the LG is thinner than the Samsung. In addition, this series is a 42 "is cheaper with more features. Netflix feature PLUS, I have to say is huge! Just go to your computer and set the instant Que and then to a simple synchronization Netflix on your TV then your Instant-Que right there. I have no experience with the Yahoo Widgets still a lot of Youtube much. I can not wait to connect my laptop, thisThing. All in all, I like this TV and the picture is excellent.

Spotty picture - JLM - Chicago, Illinois
At regular intervals, the image is dark, although the sound remains. It only takes a few seconds to several minutes. Nothing seems to turn, except TV off and then back on to help. Customer service said to reset the TV, but that has not helped. We wait for them to make good his promise of sending a technician.

I bought the LG after she had a huge 32-inch Panasonic so damn big, I could not lift it and just, and in any case it is not right for my sweet 1960 Danish modern wall units, no matter what I put on the shelves . Amazon (Note to TV buyers: If you have photos of the TV with the size, even though the pix shows the TV on its stand, the dimensions for the screen itself, sans stand, as if it were mounted on the wall. Booth added a 3 inch or so) high. I'm pretty goodsatisfied with it so far. Meets super simple, it connects to your dish or cable, and intelligently synchronizes all your latest favorite channels, etc. automatically. is rotated, the style is beautiful, and the image is good. The only thing I do not like is the manual. For many details left, such as how to switch from TV (Wii) mode … aux (because I came from a much older TV, does not automatically know how to do it). The sound of this is good for a smaller room- But the sound is not super ….. Beefy and I can not be to judge the quality of the image, since it does not pay extra for my satellite provider to high-def pop … but all in all, a nice TV slim (thin) … to raise and easy to assemble and program … The remote is very intuitive. feel for the price, I like I got a good deal.

Good, entry-level LCD - Coach24 -
I bought the TV that I love my old LG 37 inch LCD TV. However, I discovered that, while this is a good TV that is not great. The viewing angle is not as good as my old LG. How do you left or right, the color fades (in HD or SD)), especially with live TV (eg sport. Head in the picture is quite good with a variety of color / picture settings to put develop it. I also noticed that you have to do to adjust the volume very high for the TV and crank to listen. If you are looking fora small television set placed in a room where you will always see that head on, for the money, a very good choice. In my case, I see that they have in the bedroom, but I have mounted on the wall with full-motion mount so that I can, if not exactly on the head.

Good video; bad sound AND no analog audio outputs! - Greg in NJ - Bridgewater, NJ USA
I bought them locally, in December 2009 and naively assumed was) a kind of analogue output (for external speakers or headphones. It is not the only Toslink optical audio output, which is a big disappointment for me.

VIDEO
If you use it as a computer monitor, the resolution of 720p last, with smaller TVs (under 32 ", that's for sure), there is little difference between 720p and 1080p expensive (which is difficult in small television, still available ). whateverYou as a computer monitor should 1080p, though. I actually feed the UHF (analogue) is via coaxial cable from a distance of two-tuner Dish Network receiver, and an image, not HD, much better than I expected, and that means that I have in my house for a 3 ReWire satellite receiver. We see this in the bedroom - usually news or a documentary film and movies, so it's all good. Oh, one last thing: S-Video is increasingly rare for new television sets, and this model does not have an S-Video (2HDMI, 1 composite only).

AUDIO
The quality of sound, like the small of almost all TV, unfortunately. I landed my Behringer MS40 external speakers (which I reviewed on Amazon) because he had Toslink (optical) inputs. Were expensive and not so great.

So if you're closer to the TV 10 "or more, or who have heard excellent in a quiet environment, this is good if you want to be more demanding on the audio side, will beless-than-quiet environment, or do not have perfect hearing, you may want to think twice about it, and look at the unit with analog is that low-cost car of a pair of powered speakers allow use of computer.

Great Picture. Easy Setup. - R. Young - Texas
This is a very nice TV for the bedroom. Photos and audio. SD channels look good too. I use both OTA and satellite. The installation was very easy for me. I wish it were more than one of each component and composite inputs, but all in all, I still make a five. Ordered from Amazon, with free shipping and it came in 3 days.

I choose Costco bought this at a lower price ($ 750) than any other 46 "SET I 1080p/120hz for saving the Insignia at Best Buy. After several weeks with the kit, is a joy to see and at this price point that I am very happy to do without the first generation of Ethernet connectivity to the Internet to find more expensive sets, mainly because the same services with the center of WiFi on the cheap blu ray player available.

The other main post, with this set that uses3:2 pull-down technology to 1080p/24 fps input (ie, Blu-Ray) instead of the Regza series "5:5 pulldown", which promises smooth movement. In fact, when you see the absolutely fantastic-looking Blu Ray of Troy, I saw a certain distance Jutter the slow panning scenes and slow scenes closely. It 'just something annoying. Changing the definition Blu-Ray's display 1080p/24fps in 1080p/60fps simple Jutter eliminated with an imperceptible receive the overall image quality, if not entirelyGeneral. Jutter not a problem with regular broadcasts on my DirecTV connection, and setting 120 Hz produces no blurring at all the scenes in fast moving action and sports. If I'd known Jutter Edition on Blu-ray, I would have bought the price of the entry model Regza XV-645u model with 5:5 pull down, but I have to save about $ 100, with this series.

This enabled HDTV very flexible and intuitive image adjustment capability that allows you to experiment with color temperature,Intensity, contrast, brightness and all the current settings quickly and easily to find what works best for you and your room. Four pre-set (standard, sports, video and film) are limited, but give a starting point and adjust the image according to your wishes from the menu easy to use. The colors are deep and true with my DirecTV feed 1080i, and all looks good on a variety of color settings. The "smooth" video processing that has produced 120 Hz Blur, I can not allowto see the movement appears to be much smoother broadcast on TV. I put my vote in 4 stars because of some minor Pix, in addition to Blu-ray Jutter: The car backlight DYNALIGHT - regular is a bit 'slow and sometimes adapted and converted into a scene, I could disable this feature. I also noticed that the color fades when earlier by an angle of 140-50 degrees, 178 degrees is not advertised, most of these sentences. 90 days of receipt Costco and one-year extension ofWarranty, it was worth it to get them to a large image on a set that could double to cost less than a year ago, too. If you are set for the basic functionality at affordable prices, you will not be disappointed with this set, but the series Regza TV has a superior technology to 24 fps Blu-ray at a price slightly higher than that of this series.

Great TV for the price - A. Pathak - Santa Clara, CA
We bought this TV to our local Costco store and are very satisfied.

The first television spot, which he had bought a manufacturing defect and could not be switched on. We were very disappointed, because the image quality, the color was very natural for the other TVs in the store and does not want to watch. So we thought that there is a second attempt.

After the new TV as a substitute, but an enjoyable experience. The colors are impressive. Sometimes I feelthe level of audio quality is average. What could be better, but I do not want to bother. I can always connect an external audio device. The reaction was justified as

A wonderful Television! - Baltic Books - Portland, OR USA
We found the television for a cheap price Costco. We were immediately attracted by the quality of its sound full. For some reason, most of the large LCD unit Rotten Sound were much worse than your old Analog Devices.

At home we use in our master bedroom. Has a natural sound for the TV basic look great. We have ensured that even in a home theater 7.1 (Win 7 media computer connected Optoma EP745 Projector, Sony STR-DN1000 7.1 receiver, Comcast Cable).
<br/> In addition, we use it as a computer monitor, including watching movies streamed via Netflix and AVI / DivX files from your hard drive. The desktop monitor looks great! - We use a VGA set-up for computers with TV (we use the computer for our projector DVI, but I tried it, and it seems even better with an HD DVI) signal.

One of the other little surprises we discovered the other day - our receiver Sony "Bravia" function starts with Toshiba, whose height isFunction 'Regza link'. Recall especially the TV and the receiver communicated to each other preferences, if you are on (you may need to optimize set-up is still a bit '). So I suspect that one (or Regza funds Bravia) is compatible with the others. I do not know what or if both, but it works for us.

The picture quality is also great. We have a 52 "Samsung in our living room. The display - brightness, contrast and so on is just as good as the Samsung, which we love.
<br/> This is a great TV choice.

Better than the comparable 46″ Sony/Sharp/Vizio - Gex N. Efx - Santa Clara, CA
HD, Blu-Ray, PS3 & Gaming looks top notch on this LCD. Marquee provides clear w / 120 Hz refresh rate. I've got this at Costco and had the opportunity to compare the Toshiba side by side w / comparable 46 "Sony, Sharp, Samsung and Vizio. Toshiba and Samsung had the best image quality and detail blacks. No contrast ratio spec that I see possible, but the details darker than the Sony, Sharp and Vizio have. The only difference between the Samsung and Toshiba, which was the color onSlowing look better, but at the price of the Toshiba was the way to go. I have had for 2 weeks and had no problems with it. At first I thought the menu screens have been kept very simple and inefficient compared to menus Sony, but after a while 'is actually quite intuitive and has good connections. I especially like how you switch between inputs, favorites and channels through the channel or history. I am very happy w / this LCD TV.

I was able to pick this up at Costco at a lower price (0) than any other 46″ 1080p/120hz set I’d shopped for save the Insignia at Best Buy. After several weeks with the set it is a joy to watch and at this price point I am very happy to do without the first generation, ethernet based internet connectivity found on more expensive sets, especially since those same services are available with wifi on mid priced blu ray players.

The other main give up with this set is that it uses 3:2 pull down technology for 1080p/24 fps input (i.e, blu-ray) instead of the Regza series’ 5:5 pull down which promises smoother motion. In fact, when viewing the absolutely amazing-looking Blu-Ray of Troy, I did detect some jutter on slow distance panning scenes and slow moving close up scenes. It is just slightly annoying. Changing the Blu-Ray’s display setting from 1080p/24fps to plain 1080p/60fps eliminated the jutter with a barely perceptible give up in overall picture quality, if any at all. Jutter is not an issue with regular broadcast TV via my DirecTV connection, and the 120 hz setting produces no blur at all on fast moving action scenes and sports. If I’d known about the jutter issue on blu-ray, I might have price shopped for the entry level Regza XV-645u model with 5:5 pulldown, but I did save about 0 dollars with this set.

This HDTV has a very flexible and intuitive picture adjustment capability, which enables you to experiment with color temperature, intensity, contrast, brightness and all the usual settings quickly and easily until you find what suits you and your room. The four pre-sets (standard, sports, video and movie) are limited but give you a place to start and adjust the picture to your liking from the easy to access menus. The colors are deep and true with my DirecTV 1080i feed, and the set looks great on a variety of color settings. The ‘Smooth’ video setting that enables the 120 HZ processing has produced no blur that I can see; motion on broadcast TV looks remarkably smooth. I adjusted my rating to 4 stars due to a couple of minor peeves in addition to the blu-ray jutter: the DynaLight backlight auto - adjust is a little slow and sometimes adjusts and re-adjusts during a scene; I might turn this feature off. I have also noticed that the color fades when viewed from about a 140-50 degree angle, not the 178 degrees advertised with most of these sets. With Costco’s 90 day return and one year extension of the manufacturer’s warranty, it was well worth it to get a great picture on a set that might have cost twice the money less than a year ago. If you’re looking for a basic-featured set at great price, you won’t be disappointed with this set, but the Regza series TV’s have superior technology for 24 fps blu-ray at a slightly higher price point than this set.

A wonderful Television! - Baltic Books - Portland, OR USA
We found this television for a great price at Costco. We were attracted to it immediately by the full quality of its sound. For some reason most large LCD units have rotten sound- significantly worse than your old analog sets.

At home we use this in our large bedroom. It has great natural sound for basic TV watching. We also have it connected to a home 7.1 theater set up (Win 7 media computer, Optoma EP745 projector, Sony STR-DN1000 7.1 Receiver, Comcast Cable).

Additionally we’re using it as a computer monitor, including watching streaming movies via Netflix and also avi/dvix files from hard drive. The monitor desktop looks great!–we use a VGA set-up for computer to TV (we’re using the computer DVI for our projector, but I tried both and it looks even better with an HD DVI signal).

One of the other little surprises we discovered the other day– our Sony receiver’s “Bravia” function started connecting to Toshiba’s corresponding “Regza-Link” feature. Essentially the TV and Receiver communicated to work out each other’s basic settings when one is turned on (you still may have to tweak it is set-up a bit). So I suppose that means one (Regza or Bravia) is compatible with the other. I don’t know which or if both are, but it works on ours.

The picture quality is also great. We have a 52″ Samsung in our living room. The display– brightness, contrast etc. is every bit as good as the Samsung which we love.

This is an awesome television choice.

HD, Blu-Ray, & PS3 gaming look top notch on this LCD. Scrolling text looks clear w/ 120hz refresh rate. I got this from Costco and had the chance to compare the Toshiba side by side w/ the comparable 46″ Sony, Sharp, Vizio & Samsung. The Toshiba & Samsung had the best picture quality & details in the blacks. No contrast ratio spec that I could find, however the darks have more detail than the Sony, Sharp & Vizio. The only difference between the Samsung & Toshiba was that the color on the Samung looked better, but for the price the Toshiba was the way to go. I’ve had it for 2 weeks and have not had any problems with it. At first I thought the menu screens were a bit basic and inefficient compared to the Sony menus, however after some time it actually is quite intuitive and has convenient shortcuts. I especially like how to switch between inputs, channels through favorites and or the channel history. I am very happy w/ this LCD TV.

Sharp LC-C4067UN AQUOS 1920 x 1080 Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV

Hi,

This TV is by no means perfect, but I think it’s good value for 1080p. I was a bit paranoid about the TV being 60Hz vs 120Hz, but have found no major issues. I have the TV about 4 weeks and have watched football, ice hockey, track and field and a few blue ray movies on a PS3 and saw no major problems. The film mode in the advanced menu also seems to handle the 3:2 pull down of cable 1080i HD movies very well, so this option should be switched on (see below). 480i also looks pretty good after calibration.

On to calibration.

Out of the box, the settings are not optimal (are they ever). For calibration, I followed a guide from CurtPalme, henceforth known as “Kal’s Guide”.

This guide helps you to adjust grayscale and color to get a professional grade calibration. To use Kal’s Guide, you need:

1. The ColorHCFR software (free download).
2. An external color meter.I used Eye-One Display 2 (I’m a serious
amateur photographer and already owned it for computer
monitor calibration).
3. A calibration DVD; Digital Video Essentials-HD Basics,
(I used the Blue Ray version), OR, AVS HD 709 calibration disk (free download).

The AVS HD 709 software is burned on a regular DVD but you need a Blue Ray player to play it. Note, if you use this, you need to identify the correct greyscale patterns yourself.

This TV has no RGB adjustments for brightness or contrast (called RGBLowEnd and RGBHighEnd in Kal’s Guide, sometimes known as RGB bias and RGB gain), so this portion of the grayscale calibration had to be skipped. However, the CMS system allows individual adjustment of RGB for value (brightness), hue and saturation, which is much better than a simple color and hue adjustment.

First off, I ran through both grayscale and primary/secondary color calibrations with the factory settings to see where I was at. I used the default “User” picture settings as the starting point. If you’re not interested in the technical details, skip this section and scroll down to the section RECOMMENDED CALIBRATION SETTINGS FOR LC-C4067UN. Here is a summary of the results with the out-of the box “User” settings.

LG 37LH55 37-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Black

I bought this on black friday for an amazing price. I was in the market for an HDTV for a few months and was looking for something below 0, at least 120hz, 1080p, and had a good panel. When I saw this beauty up, I nabbed it as soon as I could pull out my credit card. This set packs one nice S-IPS panel. It has a huge color range and can get extremely bright to the point of looking almost real in outdoor scenes.
On to the review:
As much as I can say that I love this TV (mostly due to the price), it’s not quite perfect. For one thing, the black levels aren’t exactly the best I’ve seen on an LCD. It’s most apparent when watching a movie with black bars added to keep aspect ratio and in dark movie/video game scenes.

I use this as a PC monitor, so I can’t say anything about how this does on broadcast television. I figure with all the bells & whistles features this thing has, it could make a standard def signal look pretty damn decent over 37″.

I don’t use the speakers as I have a system, so I can’t comment on the audio. I’m sure its on par with however HDTV speakers sound.

I have this hooked up via HDMI to my PC. When first turning it on out of box, the picture quality was very poor, as were all the presets for this. I couldn’t get it to look good until I turned all the advanced features down to low/off; this includes gamma, black level, dynamic contrast, and edge enhancer; although, it does look better (to me) with color gamut on wide. I then turned contrast, brightness, sharpness, backlight, and all that down to 50. When I did this, it looked AWESOME. I turn the backlight up and down depending on ambient light and if I want it to look brighter for something (videogames/movies). I haven’t seen any ghosting as far as I can tell, and I got pretty good eyes.

Now, about the big one: the 240hz TruMotion feature. It looks great for video games and sports. It’s far from perfect though, and especially so with this HDTV. LG really messed up on this one in my opinion. My main complaint with this TV is with the feature I wanted it for most and why I’m only giving it four stars; its hard for me to not give it 5 just for the panel alone. When engaging the 240hz feature, they DO NOT give you the option to turn off the dejudder effect. This would be the perfect TV if you were just able to have the panel running at 240hz without having de-judder on. Dejudder technology interpolates extra frames in between the real frames to make the image more smooth. Now this is great that they’re trying something like this, but it isn’t perfect yet, so it degrades the image source. When on high, it produces a lot of frequent visual artifacts on moving and not moving objects - ranging from black pixels on objects to two objects on the screen that aren’t there. I like to play FPS games, and anyone who does reading this knows that it’s really bad to see something that’s not there. When on low, it happens less frequently, but I can still see frequent artifacts, even on the text as I’m typing right now. When off it never happens. Unfortunately when turning the 240hz TruMotion feature off it doesn’t utilize the 240hz processing at all and runs like a 60hz panel. The reason this happens is that there is NO DEJUDDER OFF FEATURE WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE 240HZ FEATURE. Needless to say, this made me pissed. So now I have to live with artifacts every now and then until I get a new panel, which will be a while (hopefully). I thought I got the perfect deal, instead I have something that does almost everything I wanted. I can’t complain too much though, I got a huge 240hz S-IPS panel and 4 year warranty for 0 total. Thanks Amazon & Squaretrade!

Pros:
Price (for me anyway)
BEAUTIFUL color range
Very clear and bright picture
S-IPS panel made by Funai - very high quality
No ghosting
No dead pixels
1080p
240hz
Energy Star rated
Many inputs for just about any need

Cons:
NOT able to turn off de judder without turning off 240hz processing
Below average black levels in comparisons of other 240hz in same level

TruMotion 240hz is not worth the money - John 23412 -
I purchased this television for a low price during a deal. The Pilot shipping was bad (late, didn’t call, when I called them I had to give them directions). When the television arrived, there was a scratch on the plastic frame around the screen. That’s not a big deal to me.
Setting up the television was easy. However, the 240hz TruMotion is a flawed feature. It does make motion smoother, and may be useful when there is small, fast motion, but it causes great disruption on the screen when there is a lot of motion. For example, in the show “The Office,” whenever the camera pans from one character to another, large pixels appear on the screen. This happens to both cable and Blu-Ray. Turning off TruMotion is the only way to stop this from happening. Therefore, I would recommend saving your money, and getting a LG 120hz set.
Besides the TruMotion, the picture is good, but there are problems with black levels. I think the sound is good, and the remote is easy to use.
Overall, if I had paid full price, I’d return the unit, since it is basically a 120hz television advertised as 240hz (there are several articles online about how LG’s TruMotion 240hz is not really 240hz, it just creates a 240hz effect. A Sony, on the other hand, that is advertised as 240hz, is truly 240hz). But since I got it for a low price, I’ll keep it.

First of all I want to say that I only finished five years of college. not enough to handle all the complexities of setting up HDTV, DVD, Home Theater and cable!!!!

The price from Adorama through Amazon.com was at least 0-0 less than anywhere else I looked. Even shopping direct at Adorma did not get me as good a price, go figure!

This TV replaces an old standard tube tv in an entertainment center. Now the cats have plenty of space to hang out out of sight.

It was easy to setup but I had to wait for the cable company to switch out my old box for a hd box. Once I used the hdmi cable from the new cable box to the tv the hd channels looked AWSOME!! I am very impressed and feel the tv was a good value.

The sound from the tv stereo speakers is ok, with all the input options available I was disapointed that the only audio output options was the optical toslink cable ( that is on order now) once that is hooked up from the tv to home theater then my work will be done!
